Muslim World BIZ 2019 – a great success!

Muslim World Business and Investment Zone, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) a great success 9 years in a row!

The Muslim World Business and Investment Zone was established in 2010 and has been held annually since then in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Muslim World BIZ is a prime trade event that consists of a Multi-sector International Exhibitions, a vast number of specialized conferences, and award ceremonies.

The main goal of this event is to bring together all the main stakeholders and uplift the Islamic Economy as envisioned by the late Dato’ Dr. Raja Mohamad Abdullah, the founder of Muslim World BIZ. Every year, this great event brings together government officials, private business leaders, entrepreneurs, academicians and thinkers under one roof to exchange ideas and generate sound strategies for the development of the Islamic economy.

The 9th Muslim World BIZ was held last week in Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, from the 4th to 6th September and as always it was a great success. This year’s event was a little differently organized to cater more towards the specific needs of the attendees to ensure a very fruitful networking and exposure of businesses to their new customer pool. Smaller sub-events were held as well as stand-alone events on different dates to amplify the benefits, but the most visited event was the Opening Ceremony, Round Table Talk as well as the Jewels of the Muslim World Award.

 

Some of the esteemed winners of the  Jewels of the Muslim World Award for this year were: H.E. Dr. Mufti Menk (Grand Mufti of Zimbabwe), YBHG. Dato’ Seri Haji Berkath Ali Bin Abu Backer (Chairman of Kampulan Barkath Sdn. Bhd.), H.E.Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali Al-Madani (President of Islamic Development Bank KSA), YBHG. The event has reported about 20,000 visitors, 500 exhibition booths and visitors from all OIC member countries however the top three foreign participating countries were China, Korea, and Brunei.

Muslim World BIZ is a tremendously important event to elevate the status of the Muslim population today and bring the Islamic Economy to the next level. This event brings together ideas from 57 OIC country members as well as other interested parties to collaborate, exchange experiences and boost trade activities – making it a great platform for current and future Muslim leaders to collaborate and build a strong and financially independent ummah!
